Who Are We?

We are a family business that has been dedicated since 2002 to making it easy and stylish for people to book their spa stays. A spa stay should be about relaxation – and at Topkur, we want your well-being to start with the pleasant selection of your ideal hotel. Since choosing the right spa treatment can sometimes be challenging, our experienced team of spa stay specialists is by your side to ensure you always feel well taken care of.

Our operators are friendly, experienced ladies who will help you find not only the best place for your treatment at the best price, but also every little detail – whether it's a hotel with few stairs, a stay with a dog, or a particularly good cuisine. We select your stays with the same care as we would for our own grandmother or mother. It is exactly through this personal approach that we believe we are the best booking system for spa stays on the internet.

How Was Topkur Created?

In 2002, the founder Pavel – then a 26-year-old father of a two-year-old daughter – worked at a hotel reception. He worked there twelve hours a day to support his family. But the long hours away from his family broke his heart. So he made the decision to do everything he could to be able to be at home with his family. He quit his job and together with his wife Jitka founded the company Prague.st – an online booking system for hotels in Prague. The hope was not in vain, as their hard work paid off: the booking system was successfully received in Prague. The father could work from home – with his family – and at the same time, a booking system managed with love was born.

Between 2002 and 2006, the couple expanded the website to other Czech cities – until they finally reached the Czech spa towns. There, however, the product was more complex than a simple hotel for an overnight stay: it was about treatments, medical specializations, healing springs… and exactly at that moment, Topkur was created.

They put together a team of local experts who were well-versed in spa hotels and the world of spa medicine, and adapted the website for the presentation of spa packages and medical indications. Over the past twenty years, Topkur has been continuously developed to best help every customer on their way to their dream spa stay. Today, Topkur is unique – through its consistent specialization in spa stays and its personal approach.

And the two little girls who back then watched at home as their dad developed the first version of Topkur on the computer? Today they are both grown up – and also work at Topkur. The older daughter Sarka takes care that the site always runs technically perfectly and also works as a spa consultant. The younger one, Zuzanka, takes beautiful photos and shoots videos of our hotels so that our customers can better feel the atmosphere of the houses when choosing. Mama Jitka today leads our team of Topkur consultants and Pavel continues to lead the company.
